What is a Residence Permit? It is a document required for foreign citizens (outside the EU) to stay regularly in Italy. It must be requested from the police headquarters of the province and has a specific deadline.
There are various types of residence permits:
- Family
- Subordinate employment
- Seasonal employment
- Political asylum
- Tourism
There is a particular type of permit, the Residence Card, that does not expire and can be requested after 5 years of possession of the normal Residence Permit.
